What your donation makes possible, in concrete terms.
- Where it goes
- To the activities first. The platform is built to cost little to run.
- Receipt
- A receipt for every donation received. Its tax value in France is not yet confirmed: until it is, it gives no tax relief.
- How to give
- You declare your donation here; the way to pay reaches you at the address you gave — bank transfer, cash or mobile payment. Nothing is settled on this page while no provider is connected.
The platform runs on a tight budget, and that is a choice: it is built to cost little to keep running, so that the money received goes to the work rather than to the infrastructure.
What donations pay for
- The specialists who lead the in-person workshops, in Dakar and in Paris.
- Producing the podcast and its transcripts.
- Checking the guidance directory regularly.
- The solidarity rate, which keeps a session from depending on what the person can afford.
How to give. Online giving is not open. Write to us: we will tell you how to give from your country — by bank transfer, in cash or by mobile money.
The receipt. Every donation received is given a receipt. Its tax value in France depends on a status the association has not yet confirmed: until it has, the receipt gives no tax relief, and we will not say otherwise.
Four lines, and nothing abstract
What a donation pays for
- The professionals running the workshops — The workshops held in person, in Dakar and in Paris, are run by paid professionals.
- The podcast and its transcripts — Every episode is recorded, edited, then transcribed so it can be read without sound.
- Checking the directory — Every published line is called, confirmed, or removed. The work never stops.
- The solidarity rate — The share of a session the person does not pay is carried by the platform.
What a donation does not pay for
- No advertising — The platform does not buy an audience. What is read here is found through search engines, through partners and by word of mouth.
- No fundraising commission — A donation passes through no platform that would take a cut. It reaches the association, less bank charges alone.
- No oversized infrastructure — Public pages are served ready-made, images weigh a few tens of kilobytes, and the site opens on a slow connection.
What does a donation pay for in a workshop, and what does it not pay for?
This is the line that makes the solidarity rate possible: the workshop is paid for even when the place is not.
What the line pays for
- The hour worked by a professional of the platform.
- The room and the materials for the workshop.
- Her travel when the workshop is held away from the centre of town.
What it does not pay for
- No one-to-one session: that belongs to the paid offer, not to donations.
Note
- The cost of a workshop depends on the room and the territory. Until the board settles it, no amount is shown.
What does a donation pay for in an episode and its transcript?
A transcript is not an extra: without it, an episode is closed to anyone who cannot hear, and to anyone whose connection is too thin to stream it.
What the line pays for
- Recording and editing an episode.
- The written transcript, published alongside it.
- Carrying episodes over into the second language of the site.
What it does not pay for
- No paid distribution: the podcast does not buy itself an audience.
Note
- A transcribed episode can be read on a slow connection, without downloading the sound.
What does checking a line of the directory involve?
The date of the last check is public on every resource. That is what this line pays for.
What the line pays for
- The calls made to confirm every published entry.
- The follow-up time when an organisation does not answer.
- Removing what no longer exists, once it has been verified.
What it does not pay for
- No payment to a listed organisation: nobody pays to appear in the directory.
Note
- An out-of-date number costs the person dialling it far more than the one who published it. That is why this line exists.
What does the solidarity rate cover, and what does it never ask for?
The request is made in good faith. The platform has nowhere to receive proof, and that is deliberate: a field that exists ends up being demanded.
What the line pays for
- The share of a session the person does not pay.
- The time it takes to handle the request, which stays short and file-free.
What it does not pay for
- No means testing: nothing is in place to receive such evidence.
Note
- A refusal leaves no written reason: a request made in good faith must not leave a file behind.
Declare a donation
Tell us what you would like to give
Nothing is settled on this page. You declare an amount and a line; we answer at the address you give, with the way to pay from your country.
After your declaration
How a donation arrives, today
No settlement button appears while no provider is connected: the platform does not pretend to take money.
-
You declare your donation
The form on this page is enough: the amount you have in mind, the line you would like to support, and the country you are giving from — that is what decides the receipt.
-
The treasury tells you the means
Bank transfer, mobile payment, or handing it over in person depending on where you are. The details are sent to you directly, never published.
-
The payment arrives
It is recorded on the day it enters the account, and it is that date that counts, not the day it was entered.
-
Your receipt is issued
Numbered, in your name, and of the kind your country calls for.
Two receipts, not one
The country decides the document, and the document says what it is
A tax receipt gives entitlement to a tax reduction in France. Elsewhere it means nothing.
-
From France: a tax receipt, if the association has obtained the recognition that allows it. Without that, a payment receipt.
-
From Senegal: a payment receipt, recording the sum received.
-
From a country the service has not opened yet: a payment receipt, and we tell you what we can and cannot yet do where you are.
What does your receipt carry, and what does it leave out?
It records that the sum has arrived, and it carries a continuous serial number. Its kind depends on your country, and it is written on it in full.
What it carries
- The name, address and registration number of the association.
- Your name, the sum in figures and in words, the date and the means of payment.
- For a tax receipt: the purpose of the association and the basis of the tax reduction.
What it does not carry
- No allocation to a budget line: a donation goes into the association's budget, and we do not promise that it funds one line rather than another.
- No bank card data, anywhere — the service receives none, and never will.
Note
- The day a payment provider is chosen, it will collect on its own site, and this page will carry a button. Until then, it does not pretend.
